CAN BANNING STUDENTS FROM HAVING CARS SOLVE THE PARKING STORAGE? At present student vehicles do not contribute to the parking shortages experienced by faculty, staff, and visitors. Student parking is only assigned to the remote parking facilities where there is sufficient parking. Students are not permitted to rent parking in facilities where a need for faculty, staff, or visitor parking is in demand. Students in fact benefit the parking system by adding more funds to the system (through rental fees) and helping defray the costs for all customers throughout campus.
